Hi everyone,

I have a big question and I hope you would have time to answer me....

My husband has Phd in transport planning from the Uk and he is currently an assistant professor in our home country Egypt .... The NOC code for his job is 4011
Is he eligible for the FSW ....
His specialisation can fall under the civil engineers ,,, but I'm not sure ???

Any idea about this situation would be much appreciated...

Best regards,

Check out the civil engineers NOC and see if your husband's responsibilities fit the majority of those duties and is he able to get written proof that he has done so for at leaat one full time paid year? Has he completed a general IELTS test recently so that it is less than two years old when the application is received? Has he had his education documents assessed by the approved organization? Do you have all the required documents and reference letters from previous skilled level employment in the past ten years? If no, how long will it take you to assemble the application? Keep an eye on the number of completed applications at CIC. As the requirents for this year's applicants are new, no one yet has a sense of when the max number will be reached. I hope your answers are positive. Good luck.

Thanks Pippin for your reply :)

Actually his experience falls under the NOC category 4011 University professors.. as he has always been working in the academic career starting from teaching assistant then he got his master then his PhD... but he didn't work as civil engineer ... he is assistant professor in the civil engineering field ...
so his job duties don't match with the civil engineer one...

regarding the rest of the documents,, it is no problem but we need to know first if he is eligible for the FSW route or not....

Then he is not eligible for FSW.

NOC 4011 is not a available NOC for the FSW 2013 programme. These are the Eligible NOCs.

Thanks PMM and donutbox for your replies......
Unfortunately we have no chance here :(

Hi!
Im applying under this NOC too.
Can anyone tell me what do they mean by this education requirement?
"A master's degree in the field of specialization is required for university lecturers."

I have done MPhil Economics and I am teaching Maths in a University.
Am I eligible to apply?Im not teaching Economics but Maths.

Also my title for the 1st year was Teaching Associate and then i got the title of Teaching Fellow. As a teaching assisstant too i was giving lectures to the bachelors students! Its just my university policy to have atleast 1 year experience in teaching to get the title of Teaching Fellow.

Since this occupation is up for immigration for the 1st time, i guess people will be confused as to what is required n what fits 100% into this category.

Can some1 please help me with this? about my eligibility?
