University and degree recognition

Dear All,
Can anyone help me with this query?
I am starting my application for canada express entry. I came to know from one of myy friend that my university for masters degree gives report as unrecongnized by WES. My friend has got report saying "Masters from unrecognized university". I cheked on http://www.aiu.ac.in/Members/MembersS.asp where my universtity is listed "Symbiosis International University". So why should my friend get such report by WES. Whats their criteria for recognized university.

I guess it depends on your university's accreditation. You can't really predict how WES will evaluate diplomas. You're going to have to send it anyways, make sure to send your bachelor as well. Someone on this forum had their masters evaluated as a bachelor so it gave them 2 or more diplomas which is better than nothing. I did a one year degree from France it got evaluated as a full 4 year bachelor. So it depends

I would try if I can get my masters evaluated as bachelors if i get any help from consultant. Also it will be a great help if anyone can let me know if I can get the evaluation done seperately for each of my bachelor's and masters so that my process does not stop

You get one report from WES for both (why pay twice?). In your report, both your diploma will get a separate assessment and you'll get an "overall" result. your consultant can't force an evaluation (if he said he could get something like that done I'd be suspicious, this has nothing to do with him)

My bachelor's will get evaluated but my masters will show degree from unrecognized university. I dont know what would be the next step if i get BE accepted and masters not accepted by WES, thats y planning to evaluate seperately. I have not consulted any agency yet...trying to figure out things first and try myself

as per eligibility criteria to apply for EE i checked online on www.abhinav.com, it gives me 71points out of 100. i chose two year or longer post secondary degree. Also checked on canadavisa.com showing me 365 points though i have not given ielts test yet i have considered intermediate level for it.

aim for a CLB 9 it can largely increase your score. Do ECA and IELTS then see what happens. Gotta take it step by step.
