Unemployed on temporary resident status

Hi guys I need urgent help in this matter, I am on a temporary resident permit and not working From more then a year. I am staying at my relatives house. Do I need to attach some kind of letter or LOE regaring this ?? To explain how I am surviving ??

It won't hurt to do so, but I don't think it's necessary.
