Over the last few months, province of Ontario has been occupied with elections et al.
Parallely, the province demanded additional quota from federal government for inviting PNP applicants.
They got around 15% increase from the feds, approx ~9.8k candidates limit in total. I read an article where a senior official was expressing disappointment on not being granted a good quota.
Everything points to the fact that Ontario is really in need of huge labour force under HCP, Tech and other categories however the OINP draw trend has been completely opposite of what is visible to the naked eye.
The OINP draws in July and August have been very minuscule. I'm unable to draw a conclusion as to why the draws are not happening esp. HCP and Tech. Any comments?
