Someone has stolen my immigration file# and is trying to use different ways(websites) to get unauthorized information/status of my file.
How can I stop it??? Please note my status information is not accessible on CIC website.

Please help/advise.

first of all how do you know they are doing that, my wife and i had the same situation, so we emailed CIC and told them about it, we also called them, they told us to email cic and tlel them to add some more security question especially if u gonna call cic over the phone,we found that cic is not very secure with the questions they ask,so we were very much afraid. we had a circumstance were my ex wife tried to withdraw my sponsorship application with my present wife, that was a seriouse scare for us.

That is unfortunate, and a little curious as to 'why' somebody would go through the effort. How did you find out this was going on?

EDIT: millslu above points out a good reason as to why.. but still, unfortunate.

Or may be i can reorganize the question like this:
How to prevent unauthorized access to CAIPS if someone has got my file#.

Please help

Some people use some app called ECAS tracker. Did you use something like that? Not the CIC site but a 3rd-party site.

I never used Third Party sites and so i want to prevent unauthorized access to these sites by other person who has my file information. How can i prevent ?

All the 3rd party apps and sites are just front-ends for the CIC ecas website. If you tell the website to remove access to your file on-line, then you should not have anything to worry about unless this person in question knows you pretty well and can get through the phone security questions.

well to answer yur question on either CAIPS OR GCMS you have to sign an AUTHORISATION FORM to get any information from CAIPS and it must have your signature giving permission to any other person to order caips. the worst they can do is forge your signature and they will compare the signiture and see it is not u
