I believe Canada's job title for the work that you do is called Social Worker and it has other sub-categories that you can also browse through.

I make the above assumption based on another post of yours:
Me and my boyfriend are looking into moving to canada from the uk. He is a driving instructor and has his own franchise and i have recently got my higher national certificate in social care. do you think we would get work in these areas in canada?

First, you need to familiarize yourself with Canada's NOC (National Occupational Classification), and what your NOC Code would be for the job that you do. In other words, you need to know the NOC Code for the job that you do.

So, go to the NOC website and type in Social Worker or Social Work and put a check mark for Group Title. When you get to the new page, you can narrow your search down for other job titles or sub-categories within the Social Worker category like Social counselor, etc - Just click on "View all titles". The NOC website will tell you the duties for each Canadian job title.

Also, you might want to check with the website of the new Foreign Credentials Referral Office (FCRO) that was recently established to assist foreign and immigrant workers match their job skills to Canadian Job requirements. Use the same search term(s).

FCRO's start off web page: http://workingincanada.gc.ca/welcome.do?lang=en

Repeat all processes for your boyfriend as well.
