hi gerry229.
You can easily know your UCI number if you have been issued a Temporary Resident Visa to Canada in the past and/or if your application has been checked for eligibility if you are a first timer. Its the same UCI number they use, usually 8 digits. You may not be able to access your on-line status until you get your PER. Even after PER some applicants don't have any status information on-line until after a couple of days. Having a UCI number given to you by an agent of CIC is evident that your application is being processed. Just wait and you should get your PER e-mail soonest. When the PER mail comes, you will be issued 3 different numbers:
1. UCI number (which) you already have,;
2. Immigration File No. (which will come with your PER mail)
3. Payment Receipt number ( which also comes with the PER mail)
When you want to check your status after PER, you must have the 3 numbers above ready. Any of the last 2 numbers can be used.
I my own case it was the Immigration file Number that worked for me. I faced your kind of problem too trying to check on-line with the UCI number because I had Temporary resident Visa for Canada 3 times in the past.
Just waiiiiiiit.
Best of Luck.

Just wait. Your PER may come before the week runs out.

Hi,

I also facing same problem. I received PER and AOR and now waiting for MR. Since Dec 2014, everytime I try to check, it show the same msg "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons. ".

What should I do?

Please advise.

do you have a last name on passport? I did not. So for last name I filled in my entire first name Harjot Singh. It worked that way.

that is the experience most people often have after PER. Just be a little patient. Since you have the PER, other things will follow. BTW is any Agent working for you?

Hi guys,

I'm reposting my problem from 10 days ago. I'm even in a more complicated situation that the rest of you.

So far nothing new happened, so I'm still waiting. I got the mail from Tech support asking me more details about my app, so now I'm waiting for their answer.

Hi guys,

Just to let you know about my status. I posted this on the main thread and searched the forum like crazy last night, but I'm still not sure about the outcome of all this.

My CC was charged on 26-11-2014, and on 16-12-2014 my ECAS showed "in process". I still didn't get my PER and yesterday when I checked ECAS it showed nothing. As if my app just disappeared. 2 days ago it was still there.

I found on the forum that they were mentioning that one person's ECAS disappeared like this and he ended up receiving his file back. And also found that the status of another person got within a day from "in process" to "decision made" which ended up being NER.

On a more positive side, I read on CIC site that there is a technical problem with some applicants and their ECAS access.

And my last piece of hope is that I accidentally thicker the box in ECAS that removes the online status. So I also wrote to CIC.

I really hope that I'm still in.

Keep you posted...

I have received my PER on 06-Nov-2014 and AOR on 19-Dec-2014. I never used Agent. Do you know any email I can contact for this issue?

Thanks

gerry229..oh man..relax and give yourself some hope..your DD was charged that is the main thing...your ECAS will come alive once your PER is ready....it took me only yesterday to get UCI number through vigorous calls to CIC..and ECAS was alive but no PER..same yesterday night just before midnight PER dropped...prior to that time i was panicky more than you because almost every other 27th August applicant has gotten PER and some even MR....this game is a game of too much patience that's what i understand and comparing your timeline with others wont give you rest.Just wait like every other person has advised.
