Hi everyone,

Just a few quick questions.

When my wife crossed from US to Canada she recieved a 6month visitor record. It has a UCI number on it. Will this be the same UCI they will use for her PR application or are they different? I just don't want to put the wrong number in her forms.

Also wondering if there is a glossary of all terms and abbreviations for the PR app that anyone is aware of? Including different stages from eCas, etc. Might be useful for many of us!

Thanks in advance!

Yes her UCI from her visitor's record will be the same, thing is before her's will show any information you will have to been approved for sponsorship and assigned your own UCI #. I was able to log into E-cas before my husband was approved but all it showed was when my current VR expired. E-cas really doesn't tell you much once you are approved for sponsorship you e-cas will read decision made and when you click on it, it will take you to her page showing that the application was received on such and such date and if your medical have been received. once your application goes into process it will say application was received on such and such date, your application is in process as of such and such date and if your medical have been received. after that I don't know if there is anything other then Decision made I got passport request last week but my e-cas has not changed. as for immigration acronyms they can be found @ link below. Good Luck!

So when we apply for an extension of her visitor record, do we put that UCI? and should we just leave UCI blank on her application for now? (my wife is the sponsored person, I'm her sponsor)

Thanks again!

You can use her UCI where ever it asks for her UCI....
