UBCMUN Conference invitation

Hello, I am 30 years old Nigerian. I have been invited as a delegate speaker at the University of British Columbia Model United Nations conference coming up in January. I am an engineer by profession and I'm also married with a pregnant wife who will be due in March.
I want to know what the visa application requirements and what documents to present to boost my chances of getting a visa.

The chances are pretty low given the large volume of asylum seekers coming from Nigeria. Your wife certainly wouldn’t get a visa. How did you get an invitation to a model UN at UBC? I assume you will be self-financing which would also cause concern. It would make no sense for someone to spend so much money just to attend a model UN at the opposite side of the world.
