"u have 90 days after completion of studies for application of PGWP"

I read this on forum...

Basically, my program will get over in November 2017 lets say...

and my study VISA is also the exact same duration...only till NOVEMBER 2017...

Then how can I even stay in Canada in order to actually apply for a PGWP??

Because by the time I graduate, my visa will have expired....

Am I missing something here or do students get study permit only for the duration of their studies....not even a single day more than that???

if thats the case then u have to extend ur study permit for another 3 months . ur college/university will give u a letter specifically for that. But in usually when u get study permit they add those 3 months when they issue ur study permit.

I had the same problem. My original study permit did not have the three months grace period. I had to extend my study permit (this is known as a bridge extension). Make sure that you include a letter of explanation in your application stating that you need this 3 months extension so that you can apply for PGWP. Best of luck!

Thank you for your responses...What are the chances that a study permit extention is rejected? :-X
