TYPR or PRINT in black ink?

Hi, I am wondering about "TYPR or PRINT in black ink". Can I use a black pen to fill in some application form or not? Because some forms can not type in through the PDF file.

I have submitted Handwritten / Types forms and they were accepted

Then may be in some countries hand written documents are accepted

It's okay as long as the ones that MUST be validated online, are all typed as they come with barcodes
