Two Applications

Can someone please help me here

I send my application for renewal of PR card a few months back, while it was not under process I realized that it had a mistake so I informed CIC through email and send a corrected application by mail. However my (first) application was returned by CIC with the reason that my signatures were post dated so I corrected it send it by mail.

My application was processed and I got my renewed PR card. However now (October 2018) I received an email from CIC that processing of my application has started and now my application status on cic web site shows two status for renewel of PR card, one Completed and second Under Process.

I had also applied for citizenship in September 2018. Could it be that CIC by mistake send me an email mentioning PR card application where as in actual processing has started on my Citizenship application ? or they are processing another PR card for me ?

Assuming I understand correctly, it sounds like they are processing the other of your two PR card applications you submitted. This is because you decided to correct and resend the first application that was returned to you, on top of the second one already being submitted.
