hi great forum members :P

if an applicant has tow application in process at the same time lets say for example (CEC and FSW) and CEC application is close to be finalized, does he/she needs to submit a request for withdrawing the FSW application before the visa will be issued for the CEC or the file will be automaticaly closed when it comes to the point of visa issuance.
cheers and good luck to everyone.

When one of the applications is finalized, then you will need to request a withdraw. It will not automatically happen. But, wait until one of them has been completed finalized, as in you received PPR/COPR. Then you can simply email and request a withdraw!

Correct. Wait until one application is completed and then withdraw the second, pending one by email.

thanks CEC2013 and iam_toby :)

When you get CoPR for either application, you can withdraw the other. As this means you're good to go and complete your landing. Shoot them an email stating the file number etc and ask for withdrawal.

Precisely! PPR/COPR stage is when you would want to shoot them an email. I always feel more comfortable when I have thing in hand...so probably wait till COPR.

Good luck...

thanks CEC2013 :)

i appreciate your valuable help but just to confirm please,do you mean wait till i get passport request or get it back with immigrant visa stamped in?because as far as i know i have to withdraw one when i get passport request for the other or else they cannot issue a visa.

good luck

First time I hear that. Your file is not finalized until COPR is issued and passport returned. So, I would wait until then. Different timelines on applications wont cause any problems. One will probably take longer than the other. And I've heard that CIC can sometimes take up to 16 weeks to withdraw a case. Therefore, no need to worry, as by the time they see it, you will have already landed and whatnot.

Wait for COPR is what I would do. Dont worry about this too much...perhaps the most simple part of the process. :)
