Two active profiles in Express entry pool for the same person.

Hi there

I have a friend who have two active profile in pool at the same time. One he made himself other one from his representative.

CIC website says "No" to having multiple profiles. But I wanted to know from someone who is/was or know a person in this kind of situation. What were the results of doing so?
