Tuition Fees and CWB

Hello

I hope everyone is safe.

I worked part-time in 2019 and also studied full time. I have T4 and T2202.
I understand the tax system and what the non-refundable tuition fee is for. I also know that CWB is not eligible for fulltime students.
my question is

- If I am not planning to have a career in Canada after I finish my studies,
can I withhold from reporting T2202 and receive the CWB (low income) instead?

or is this considered cheating the system?

thank you,

It’s called tax fraud.
So just because you aren’t planning on staying in Canada , you plan on screwing with the system to take advantage of it ?
However, your T2202 has already electronically been sent to the CRA. It knows your situation, and that you were a full time student
How’d you do in your ethics course ?

It would be cheating the system. I'm also not sure how on earth you would do that. All of the T forms are stored centrally in CRA's systems. They will know you received a T2202. Their computer systems will automatically pull this T form when they review your return. It's all attached to your SIN. Again, don't see how you would pull this off. CRA has everything and knows what T forms you received.

Adding , that CWB is a program to help individuals who are VERY low income . Too assist them in helping them to edge up from the low income bracket to a more moderate income bracket

As someone who didn’t meet their RO and whose family never paid taxes and left 15+ years ago you got extremely lucky and got to keep your PR status after being denied once. You are paying domestic fees not international fees and now you want even more benefits:rolleyes:
