TTC prices - dependent on distance or all the same

All,
Factoring in some finances and places to visit during our short landing trip

Need help with following queries
- TTC prices per route is dependent on distance or are they standard
- weekly pass - unlimited ride - can that be bought any day and then they become valid for 7 days ?

TTC prices are almost all flat rate. Some express routes require an extra fare.

weekly = from Monday to Sunday.
