I was just in Canada with my fiance for 2 months and am now back home in Australia. We're not married yet but i'm trying to figure out whats the best way to move over.

I want to move on a WHV (which allows me to stay for 2 years), get married and then apply for the spouse visa. Is this allowed? I'm pretty sure it is but I want to know if i'm allowed to stay in the country while the visa gets processed.
Ive read different things about inland and outland processing and from what I hear outland is a bit faster. I have also read that i am still allowed to send in an outland application while I am still in Canada.

I just need an educated opinion on how this all works and what's the best way to do it

A WHV in Canada is now called a IEC (International Experience Canada) work permit, as I understand it. Certainly you can stay in Canada while you apply for Permanent Residence as long as you are here on a valid temporary resident basis and the IEC would be one of those. If you didn't get approved by the end of the IEC visa, you could apply to extend your stay as a visitor instead of a worker (but you wouldn't be able to work once you have that status).

I'm pretty sure that an outland application would be faster for you, but for some reason, processing time for Sydney is not currently listed. See http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-other.asp You should also keep in mind that an interview, if they should ask to to attend one, would have to take place in Australia.
