Hello everyone,

I am trying to fill out the provincial nominee package of OINP under International student with a job offer category. and I am confused at certain questions in the form.

Some of the questions that I have are:

  • In the personal information section the form is asking me to put my status in Canada. I am on a Post Graduate Work Permit right now so temporary foreign worker does not fit my category. Nor does student and definitely not visitor. So the question is which category should I choose? I was a student in the past but not anymore.
  • In question 6a its asking me to list all travels made outside Canada. Does this include transit stops that I made while changing my flights? For example if I have to go to India, I always have to switch flights at some country. So should I include those countries too? Or just my destination country?
  • How can I update my address at OINP if it changes in the meanwhile?
  • Intended Occupation in Ontario in Section E question 1: Is this the same as my current job and the position I am applying for?
  • In question 5 of Section E, I am to provide Education History. Now when I initially entered in Canada, I failed in the first semester because of a bad program. I quit that program half way and joined another one and successfully finished it. Do I need to mention about this failed program since I never completed it?
  • In section F again I am asked for Education History. Does this need my failed program?
  • In question 3 of section E again: Personal and Work History do I have to mention any of failed programs that I studied and ended up failing?

Please help. I am really confused.

Thanks in advance.

Choose Temporary Foreign Worker.
  • In question 6a its asking me to list all travels made outside Canada. Does this include transit stops that I made while changing my flights? For example if I have to go to India, I always have to switch flights at some country. So should I include those countries too? Or just my destination country?

No, you don't have to include transits if you stay in the airport. If you get out the airport and visit for a few days, you have to list these trips.

  • How can I update my address at OINP if it changes in the meanwhile?

Send email

  • Intended Occupation in Ontario in Section E question 1: Is this the same as my current job and the position I am applying for?
Yes, you should use the same job

  • In question 5 of Section E, I am to provide Education History. Now when I initially entered in Canada, I failed in the first semester because of a bad program. I quit that program half way and joined another one and successfully finished it. Do I need to mention about this failed program since I never completed it?
  • In section F again I am asked for Education History. Does this need my failed program?
  • In question 3 of section E again: Personal and Work History do I have to mention any of failed programs that I studied and ended up failing?

for the above 3, you have to list the failed program. Otherwise, you will have gaps in your history and your application may be delayed or refused because of these gaps. The failed program won't impact the nomination. CIC/OINP just wants to know what you did in these periods for background and security checks.
[/list]

Please help. I am really confused.

Thanks in advance.
