I'm an Indian Citizen with a valid visa in the US. My employer has an office in Canada and have applied for a Temporary Work Permit so I can work from their Canadian office. Application was submitted mid December, biometrics were submitted mid Jan. Processing times on the website show 8 weeks and this week it'll be 8 weeks since biometrics were submitted.

Running out of days in the US, haven't received any approval of my TRV yet. Are the processing times accurate with maybe 1-2 weeks delay? I want to visit India and then fly to Canada if I can but I don't know if this will mess with my application/obtaining visa stamp on my passport ...

What do you suggest?

Hi Burgundy!

I am sailing in the same boat and I am still waiting to hear back regarding my visa.

The trend is about 7- 8 weeks from Biometrics. Hopefully you should get an update soon. I would recommend calling and checking on IVR just to be sure you didn't get an ADR.

Oh hey, thanks so much! What is an ADR? Is it a notice for additional data? What was your timeline like?

Yeah ADR stands for Additional Documents Request. My application was filed on 10th January and Biometrics submitted as part of an earlier PR application. ICT Non GSS from US. Awaiting an update as well.

Hi!! @DataScienceEnthusiast My visa is also approved. Trying to figure out closest VFS location - do we only have options between LA and NYC? Also, my VFS account somehow shows me that I'm trying for a visa in Sweden? I didn't put in this info anywhere!!

Oh, figured it out! I'm supposed to create an account with TT Services VFS. But I can only book a Biometrics Enrollment appointment???? For visa stamping do I just have to turn up in person??

Hi @Burgundy, yeah we need to create an account with TT Services VFS. I am not sure I understand the Biometrics Enrollment appointment question.
No you cannot turn up in person from what I know. You have to send your documents to them

Yeah, it took me a full day of being on hold on their long winded ivrs (and still wasn't connected to a human) and some digging on Blind and I've sent them my passport. Hopefully, I get it sooner than 2 business weeks. Can seriously book accommodation then.

You sent in 2 copies of CF? I didn't include mine (because I was mailing it) but I got a notification today saying that I need to send in a consent form. What did you fill out for the Biometric part? Exempt or non exempt?
