TRV while Spousal Sponsorship in process

Hello everyone,
I applied for my wife's PR in the Outland Spousal Sponsorship Category in May of this year (2019). Since then I received the Sponsor Approval, then my wife did her medical and passed back in October this year and also provided Bio Metrics. Because it seems that a decision will not be made on our file anytime soon ( applied in Sri Lanka ), we applied for a TRV for her just a few days ago so she can visit me for Christmas and my Birthday. I'm scratching my head with a few questions here, if anyone has had a similar case/experience please chime in :

- What is the possibility of a TRV being granted while the PR application is in it's final stages ?
- If the TRV was rejected, will it have a negative effect on the PR application ?
- Now that the PR application is in it's final stages, can it be a no-brainer for the visa officer to grant a TRV ?

- Chances of a TRV being approved are low since IRCC knows your wife has plans to remain in Canada long term.
- No negative impact on the PR application.
