Hi,

I applied for visitor visa and got refusal 2 days ago due to following reasons.

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your immigration status.

I don't understand why they refused visa i just wanted to visit Canada for a week. I am Non-EU living and working in Ireland on work visa. My visa will expire in end of Feb 2020 but i gave them my job contract which is valid for another 3 years which shows my company will sponsor me for next 3 years.

I have good travel history. I got tourist visa from UK, Belgium, Germany and also visited these countries. I also got tourist visa from United States 3 months ago but haven't visited yet. I plan to visit in December.

Can any one guide me why Immigration officer refused. Can i appeal this decision? It's not mentioned anywhere if i have right to appeal. They just said i can re-apply. Thanks

Appealing would require a lawyer, and would be much more expensive that re-applying.

Your status in Ireland is temporary, which means you don't have compelling reasons to return home.

What did you propose as your reasons for travel? What itinerary did you provide?

There are a lot of people working outside their home country on work visa. So, they don't get tourist visa for Canada? I am working in my relevant field what i studied in bachelors and masters. Why they would think i will leave this job and stay in canada without any visa?

Purpose was just to visit in December. I don't know anybody in Canada. I told i want to visit Canad and USA together and already got visa from USA. Got a sample from google and updated.

There are a lot of people working outside their home country on a work visa. And unless they provide overwhelming reasons why they would leave Canada, such as obligations in their home country or country of residence, things they cannot do in Canada, parents they're caring for, etc., etc., they get denied. This is because someone working outside their home country has already demonstrated that they are not tied to their home country, and as such, they may be at a higher risk of overstay in a country like Canada.

If your itinerary and purpose of visit were something you found on Google and changed some words around, you can imagine that a visa officer can find the same itinerary and purpose of visit on Google and may wonder why you copied and pasted something.

The factors a visa officer considers when evaluating your visa application are not binary; they're weighed in concert with each other. If your purpose of visit is weak, your ties home must be strong. If your ties home are weak, your purpose of visit must be strong. So on and so on with all the permutations of various factors they consider.

What do you suggest me know? Should i visit USA first and then apply Canada visa after 5,6 months?

My family lives in my home country i am just working in Ireland what reasons i can give them to satisfy that i will leave Canada. Should i hire agent for purpose of visit? It was not copy paste i just got idea looking at different samples.

Thanks

Wait till you get your new work visa. With only 3 months left on your current one, the impression is you are going to overstay....It's a very limited tie to your country of residence.
