First Online Application Timelines
Online Form Submission - January 18, 2020
Submission Confirmation - January 18, 2020
Biometrics Collection Letter - January 19, 2020
Biometric completed - January 22, 2020
Correspondence Letter - February 1, 2020
Final Decision(Refused) - February 3, 2020
Refusal Reason:
I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary
resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
Second Online Application Timelines post refusal
Reapplied again online per below timelines
Online Form Submission - February 22, 2020
Submission Confirmation - February 22, 2020
Correspondence Letter - February 27, 2020
Final Decision (Approved) - February 27, 2020
Biometric not required since i already had it in my previous application which was rejected.
VFS Procedure
Passport Submitted at VFS on February 28, 2020
Then i received series of emails of status of Passport as below:
2020-02-28 - Visa application, tracking ID No. XXXX has been dispatched to OC from VAC, on 2020-02-28 for processing.
2020-02-29 - Visa application, tracking ID No. XXXX The envelope for the decision on the results of your visa that has been processed has been received at the Canadian Visa Application Center at BangaloreOC, on the date. We will then send this to the Canadian Visa Application Center BangaloreOC
2020-02-29 - Visa application, tracking ID No. XXXX has been received at the BangaloreOC VAC on 2020-02-29 and is on transit to the IRCC Office in BangaloreOC ,for processing.
2020-03-02 - Visa application, tracking ID No. XXXX is under process at the IRCC Office.
2020-03-04 - Visa application, tracking ID No. XXXX Your processed decision envelope has been dispatched from the IRCC Office, on 2020-03-04 to the Canada Visa Application Centre in CVO-BANGALORE.
2020-03-04 - Visa application, tracking ID No. XXXX Your processed decision envelope has been received at the Canada Visa Application Centre in BangaloreOC, on 2020-03-04 . We shall further send this to the Canada Visa Application Centre(BangaloreOC).
2020-03-04 - Visa application, tracking ID No. XXXX is on transit and been dispatched to the IRCC Office through the BangaloreOC Office, on 2020-03-04 for processing
2020-03-05 - Got an email from donotreply@cic.gc.ca that My application status has changed ( I can see my Visa details with expiry)
2020-03-05 - The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. XXXX has been received from the IRCC Office on 2020-03-05 at the Canada Visa Application Centre, Hyderabad and is ready for collection. For details on the location and hours of operation of our VAC, please refer to our website at: https://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/india/.
