TRV - Tickets are booked for 30th Dec 2016

Hello, I am planning to visit my husband for a month who is in Canada, he holds a PR, applied for TRV in VFS Chennai as a paper application on 15th Dec 2016 and received an email on 16th Dec with a note stating its been sent to Canada Visa Office , New Delhi, my Tickets are booked for 30th Dec 2016, there are no chances my application would be processed before that hence I did cancelled the Ticket, however would like to know if they would consider this ticket while processing the application and approve it or straightway would be rejected since the travel dates are in the past. I am planning to reschedule in Jan/Feb if my visa is approved ? Any thoughts ??

Yes - it's possible your TRV may still be approved.

I would not book another ticket until you have an approved TRV in hand. It tends to be difficult to be approved when your spouse is in Canada as a PR.
