TRV Refused - Do I need to update my PR application?

Hey guys,

My Wife applied for a visitor visa to come spend time with me in Canada. We were straight forward with her intents to come see me but as expected they refused the visa because lack of strings attached to her home country.

My concern now is if we should or need to send an update for her PR application to let them know about the refusal. Both the PR and TRV applications were linked to her account under the same UCI so I assume they can already see everything. Just want to be safe and ask.

If TRV and PR have been linked to same UCI, they should be able to check automatically. I don't think there is a need to update.

No need to update. You only need to declare what is true at the time you submit your application. They will be able to see the refusal on their end and that it was after you had already applied.
