TRV Passport Request- India

Hi Guys we got PPR for my parents. Now there they want us to submit it to nearest office when we click the link, CIC URl opens with all offics. In india it goes to VFS website.In VFS website where do we go to find out nearest office? Can they go in personor do they have to mail PP.

They can go to Chandigarh or Jalandhar. I have been wondering, which is quick. Please advise.

Congrats

You can send their passports to the nearest VAC of your choice..... probably Chandigarh would be faster compared to Jalandhar.... the Office of the Consulate General of Canada/visa office is located in Chandigarh

They can submit their passports in person or through an authorized representative to the VAC along with the passport request letter.... they must pay the VFS service fees.... and they can opt for the processed passports to be couriered to their residence (at an additional cost)

In the VFS website - , doesn't say if they are open on Saturday. I am assuming they are closed, any input?

You're right..... none of the VFS/CVACs are open on the weekends..... your parents can submit their passports on Monday morning

My parents are in a similar situation as Vinay. Is it possible to courier their passports to the nearest CVAC office? Or, visiting in person/submitting the passports through a authorized representative are the only options?

Hi Saju,

You cannot courier your parents' passports to the nearest CVAC.

Like you've mentioned, passports can be submitted in-person or through an authorized representative.

For in-person: If both your parents are unable to travel to the CVAC then one parent can submit both their passports before noon.... after noon, each applicant must submit their passport in-person. They must also submit VFS consent forms + passport request letters + VFS handling charges, etc
