Hi,

My brother is a citizen and I'm a PR. Our parents would like to apply for a multiple entry visa. If they wish to stay longer than 6 months could they just go to the US and reenter the Canada as many times as they want?

Or do you find the Super Visa more convenient for this case?

What's the difference and in your opinion which is the best option?

Thank you

Super Visa is the best option in this case.

Super Visa are for those who wish to stay in Canada up to 2 years, while multiple entry and single TRV are for those who wish to stay in Canada up to 6 months.

First of all, I thank your quick response. Ok I agree, super visa it is. But just out of curiosity I still find confusing this TRV option, why is it called multiple entry TRV if you can only stay 6 months? Who would that type of visa be for?

Thanks

People who are going back and forth many times for short visits over a period of time. You can still be stopped if they think you are trying to live in Canada. Where as 2 years is basically living in Canada but without some of the benefits, like healthcare.
