I don't think you have any option here. Probably you can talk to IRCC directly but you cannot send passport directly from India. In India you need to send through VFS but they wont accept passport request until you have official letter from IRCC with India address. Even my spouse wants to travel but due to emergency but luckily she got passport request last week. She applied TRV from Canada on Nov 2nd and we are waiting for passport.

People are still waiting from Sept 15th as per this forum. I have applied on Sep 21st for myself and I got approval notice on Nov 27th, so its totally random.So we cannot say processing time.
