TRV FOR MOTHER IN LAW APPROVED BUT ......HELP!!

Good day,

My mother in law went to the embassy in Jordan to check the status of her TRV application ( we invited her to attend the birth of my son). At the embassy she was told that she was approved but she has to wait for security check from Canada.

Has anyone been or heard of a similar situation? is this a good sign?

Its a single entry TRV ....

Would love to hear something from the experts on hear ...feedback much appreciated.

Yes, there are number of countries where additional security checks add 10 days to the application, Jordan is one of them.

Thanks PMM ...is it safe to say in your experiance that the application is 80 % complete and all thats missing are the regular security checks to see if the applicant lets say is a criminal or has security issues with Canada or any other country correct?

It would appear that it is complete except for the additional security checks.

PPM do you know how long the security checks take in Lebanon? I am guessing the same 10 day but I just thought I would check as my husband is also waiting after he had the interview last Thursday Thanks!

It is supposed to be an additional 10 days + the normal processing time.
