Hi i am planning to apply for my wife trv from india.I have few doubts regarding the flight ticket. After approval of visa

If i book 2 way ticket . I cant cancel the ticket from canada to india, Because i already used half (one way ) ticket. That means, I am paying for the returning ticket with out travelling from canada to india.

My doubt is

1.Can i book 2 different one way tickets instead of 1 ticket i.e. india to canada different and canada to india different one

2.If i book like that,is it any problem at port of entry i.e. immigration check because of 2 different tickets

if i can book like that , then i can cancel the ticket from canada to india and i will get money back.
please give me suggestions

No problem, you can either book 2 one-way ticket or roundtrip or even 1 one-way (India to Canada).

You have to check with the airlines about canceling/refund your flight ticket.

Second that..It all depends on the Border office you encounter at the airport. I did the two one way tickets thing. But when I told my travel agent that I need it for spouse trv, he said he'll put a booking in for the return flight. that stays active for a week or so. I was kinda iffy about it at first but she landed with a return itinerary (not a confirmed/paid return ticket). The office didn't ask her anything about returning. He simply asked how many days are you staying in Canada for? She replied 90 days. And he stamped the passport. That was it!

So again - it all depends on the officer. Technically he shouldn't have an issue with your paid return flight but he could give you a pain in the ass for not having it all on one invoice.

What kind of questions should my wife expect from the border officer, who will be visiting me in August?

1) When will she exit Canada?
2) Is there a return ticket?
3) How much money is she bringing?

Since i will be accompanying her when she will enter the border, will we be question separately or together?
