I am an international student since Fall 2019 with one approved Study Permit extension, and co-op work permit. I am about to be graduated with a completion letter in 1-2 months. I have 3 queries:
1. I applied for TRV extension on Feb 25, 2021 and it is about 200 days now which is way over expected processing time of 158 days as per IRCC site. Many of my classmates received TRV on August 27 batch but I did not receive it.
2. I would also have to extend Study Permit beyond my expiry date of 31st August 2021 which I did. I applied on 24th August 2021 and currently 20 days in. I know a person who applied for Study Permit extension in 2nd August received it in 17 days. However, the expected processing time on the IRCC site shows 11 weeks which means it's either inaccurate or they have stopped prioritizing SP applications.
3. I am currently on implied status and trying to reach an agent on the IRCC helpline but failing to connect due to too much volume of calls. Can you tell me whether my Study Permit application will be processed only after my TRV is processed? Will these two applications be processed regardless of each other's pending status?
Can someone shed any light if they have experienced the same?
