TRV approved - roundtrip ticket required

Hi i know that roundtrip ticket is required for visitors in Canada, but i dont know if my parents would want to stay longer than a month.

Will it be possible to provide a return confirmed flight itinerary only upon entering canada? to minimize the cost of booking an actual flight or avoid re-booking fee if the passenger is undecided on when to return on its home country?

But of course definitely they will not stay more than 6months. Its just that they might return earlier than the original plan.
