TRV approved but need to undergo medical

Hello,
My parents came here September 2018. They are supposed to stay only until March 2019. On February 2019, I applied to extend their stay until August. Today, I received the approval of their TRV extension but on the remarks: Must undergo immigration medical within 30 days. Forms have been sent out separately.
My question is., do they need to undergo Medical. I changed their flight and they will go home on June 15. Do I need to contact CIC or just disregard the medical. I am planning to bring my parents back here again. Thank you.

Yes they need to do the medicals. They stayed past the first 6 months. If they don’t do the medicals they could have difficulties getting visas in the future.
