What was your purpose of visit?

Tourism purpose...want to explore canada as a tourist...

I have a concern that I applied for my uncle to attend a party here which is on 9 september. If they didn't get any update before 9 september what are the chances of visa after that. in invitation letter I mentioned I want them to attend the party and allow them for 6-8 weeks visa..... experts kindly give ur views .... @Bryanna

Hello, Navraj! I think the visa officers do not take into consideration the dates for certain parties or celebrations. In other words, they will not issue a visa before September 9 just because in the letter you mentioned about wanting your uncle to attend a September 9 party

The processing time varies so it will depend on how strong your documents is. In my opinion, the request length of stay is too long. People here in the forum would say that a maximum length of visit to request for a tourist is 3 weeks for a better chance of approval.

Either way, good luck on your uncle's application. Keep the faith.

I have applied for tourism purpose also... I have attached hotel booking & itinerary.. also attached letter from my friend who is PR ... now waiting for visa

Have you attached any invitation letter or booking details?
Are you single? because that is the one big reason they refuse tourist visa

Yes...I had attached Invitation letter from PR person who is inviting my friend to explore canada...I had booked return flights ticket...not booked hotel as my PR friend has own home in Winnipeg...My friend is single...so i think that is the main reason for refusing Application.

I submitted Invitation letter from PR person... purpose of visit letter...leave letter from company... salary slip...IT return...Bank statement...CA networth certificate... flight tickets...

I have read some posts here about letter from MP. They have different results. Others were approved, others were not. I think the visa officers assess the documents submitted altogether.
