I applied for the tourist visa online on 22nd of October and still didn’t hear anything back. My planned itinerary is from 18th of November.

Is it going to be a refusal now if the date of departure will be passed? Should I send a revised Purpose of Travel?

Decisions are not given based on the applicant's travel plans.

It's not required

Thanks for your reply. Could you also tell me how long does it take normlly to process the application from the UK?

And I heard that the processing time is much shorter for the applicants who have US non-immigrant visa. Is that true?

We have seen vastly differing processing times on here.... decisions in one day to even decisions after a few months (even for applicants who have ILR).

You may be eligible for CAN+ processing depending on the passport you hold. For this, you should have either traveled to Canada in the last 10 years or hold a valid US non-immigrant visa. But, considering you applied three weeks ago, your application is not being processed under CAN+

Hi there, I hold a Pakistani Passport. So If it is taking so long. Is it a good sign? Or they are delaying it because of some complications to refuse it?

Any delay is no indication of what the decision might be.

You can send an IRCC web form if processing has exceeded the IRCC published time for UK applications

Oh I see. When I applied the processing time was 37 days so it has not exceeded yet. But I have already sent the web form and they gave me a generic reply saying they are trying to get it processed as soon as possible.

Maybe the visa office is doing background checks? Or maybe you have temporary immigration status in the UK? Regardless of both scenarios, your processing timeline does not seem too far delayed

Yes, I do have a temporary immigration status in the UK. I am a student and I recently graduated. Hopefully I’ll get a reply soon.

Thank you so much for clarifying so many things.
