Is it necessary to apply exactly 3 or 4 months before my trip,
or it is ok to apply now but plan my trip 8 or 9 months later??

From the days given add a month or 2 as buffer. FYI paper application takes longer than online

Hi,

Up to you, you may apply even 2 years before travel (obviously you will not mention 2 year later dates in the TRV application).
Just look out for the basic things like the Passport validity, processing time in your region etc before proceeding.
