My husband has a DWI from just over 2 years ago. He was turned down entering Canada a couple of months ago and is now in the TRP application process. We dated for 1 year and have been married for 3 Months. He is 26 years old, working part time and going back to school on the 26th of January. We obviously have proof of his employment and his schooling but I'm wondering if anyone has any other tips when filling out the temporary resident permit (TRP) application and if they call him into an interview what type of questions he can expect. As well, is this considered a compassionate reason to let him into Canada.

He is not going to live in Canada until he completes his schooling in the next couple of years but definitely needs to enter as a visitor for family functions and because I travel a lot and cannot visit him all the time.

Please if anyone has some insight i would greatly appreciate it. We are going crazy being apart.

Thanks! :)
