Hello Everyone,
I recently got my PPR and have been living in Canada. I am doing my landing on the US-Canada border next week and i know as per the CIC website it currently take 35 days to mail out a PR card to new immigrants.
My dilemma is that i have to travel to India for urgent family matters first week of april 2013. I know the PR card will be mailed to my house address and i can have a friend or relative bring it over to me in India as i will be there for 2-3 months.Also i know i can apply for a temporary travel document to come back into canada for one time entry if for some reason i do not have my PR card with me while i am overseas.
So i guess my quesitons is... Is it wise to travel withouth the card and will i face any difficulty if lets say i dont get my card in time for me to get back into Canada?
any advice is much appreciated.
