Travelling to canada and need an advice!!

hi, im travelling to canada may 1 2013, but i found some tickets that has a promotion on from now. can i buy the tickets before applying to the visa? or i will be risking alot?

and can i apply for a canadian visa from now (9 months before travelling)??

You can buy the tickets now but there's no guarantee you'll be approved for the visa. I you want to buy tickets before you are approved for a visa, I would buy tickets that can be refunded.
