Travelling to Calgary through Toronto

Hi,
I am Canadian PR returning to Canada 1 and half year after the short landing in Calgary. We are planning to take Emirates from Dubai to Calgary which has a stopover and code share flight with canadian airlines to calgary. I have following questions, if anyone with the similar experience can help me that would be great.
1. Will the immigration process be conducted at Toronto airport? and the flight from Toronto to Calgary will be a domestic flight?
2. We are planning to take a one week stop over in Toronto. What will happen to the luggage? Will it stay checked in or we are required to take it with us? Will it be possible to keep it checked in?

Upon arrival at YYZ, you would go through immigration and required to collect your baggage. Since you would be staying in Toronto for one week, you would either bring your luggages during your stay or store your luggage at the airport for a fee (https://www.torontopearson.com/Components/Templates/Retailer.aspx?retailerid=3250##).
