Travelling outside of Canada while waiting for first PR card

Hello, I'm at the stage of permanent residency where I need to confirm my PR status. Doing so will allow me to order my first RP card. I had planned to travel to Europe in July/August, but I'm afraid that by then I will not have received my PR card.

I am currently on a student VISA, valid until 2026. However, I believe that once I confirm my PR status, that VISA will no longer be valid ?

That visa will no longer be valid. You can either wait for the PR card (hpefully before you depart), have it couriered to you by someone in Canada, or apply for a PRTD as soon as you arrive in Europe.

(Actually you can do all of these, not mutually exclusive).

No, i can't guarantee those will work.

If you have ability to travel through USA, you will be admitted without the PR card, just ID and some evidence you became a PR.
