Travelling during final semester.

I am planning to visit my family and travel while I take a blended course (online lectures and in person exams) in my final semester. Will be spending about 2months abroad and be back before midterms and finals. I will only be taking one course so part time in my final semester.

I have been full time the entire 2years no breaks nor part time studies. I did do 2coop work terms (on a coop work permit) back to back but they are considered full time so I was enrolled full time.

Do I need to justify my purpose in Canada after I return? Final exams in person AND graduation (study purpose) not justified?

Also, does this impact PGWP in any way? I believe IRCC allows this part time courses in my final semester.

Additionally, I won't be working until I graduate and apply PGWP.

Do you have a valid TRV? IRCC may deduct time off your PGWP for online studies completed outside of Canada (read the PGWP rules).

What doesn’t count toward the length of your PGWP

You can’t count the following time toward the length of a PGWP:

• time spent studying online from outside Canada after August 31, 2024
• time spent studying before we receive your study permit application
