Few years ago I bought TC for CAD from Thomas Cook at New Delhi International Airport. I don't remember how much was their charge. They ask your passport for identity and should sign the forms what they fill up. Nothing else. I realized later that their conversion (exchange rate) was higher than the banks. If you have time, get exchange rates at least from two different banks ( State Bank of India or subsidiary) and compare with Thomas Cook's rate. At the airport, the rate will be higher than a branch in town.
