Traveling with the Pilot OWP

To people who travelled with their pilot OWP:

Did you take the original permit with you and presented it to the CBSA officer, or did you take a copy?
I don't want to lose it haha and I'd rather take a copy, but I was wondering if anybody has done that and the officers did not oppose.

I suspect that the CBSA officer would be able to see your OWP in their system, but...it might not even matter, since [it] doesn't authorize re-entry anyway.

Thanks, I know it doesn't authorize and it's a risk... But I've been traveling all the time, if they don't let me in this time, I'll just apply outland and still get the PR before my inland app would ever be processed but hopefully there won't be a need for such actions.
