Traveling while inland file in progress

What's his status? Leaving Canada will cancel any implied status and its always up to the Border Officer whether to allow him.back into the country.
Also this may come up in his security check and cause your file to be delayed as it may raise additional questions as it whether he truly meet the definition of an inland candidate

How about holiday in Canada? That's what we did back then (a long time ago) and we travel inside Canada for our vacation.
Usually travel outside for a couple of weeks is OK. But it also depends on if PA has valid visa/eTA to re-enter Canada after the trip.

He is on visitor visa and we applied for his visa extension as he came to Canada in nov 2020 and we applied for his pr in Dec 2020
