Hey friend,
So here is my situation...
Because of emergency personal family matters, I have to leave to the Philippines as soon as possible (like within 3 days of typing this!) and I will only be there for one week and have to be back here in Canada within that week for work.
I renewed my Permanent Resident Card way back Mid July of 2015... and I just got an email that they just received my application two weeks ago! (So I still do not have my card!)
It's been 146 days... wow...
For more details, I own a renewed New Zealand Passport (as that is where I was born) and I have been living here in Canada for 8 years already. (Graduated School here and been working) ( I am planning on getting my Citizenship on 2016, I know I have been procrastinating on this.)
So my question...will I be able to get back to Canada safely just in time for work, with an Expired PR Card?
And I have read online on needing a Travel Document...
I want to hear your inputs and suggestions.
Your answer is greatly appreciated and valued.
I am also going to contact the Immigration Offices on Monday when it is open for more questions.
Thank you
Sincerely
Jeff
