Hey I wanted to ask a question in behalf of my friend, My friend is seeking asylum in Canada. They already have their work permit and the work in Canada. But they have not had the hearing yet and no Pr. Their hearing is taking long and they need to to travel. I was wondering are they allowed to travel outside the country? Are they allowed to apply for refugee travel document ?

They will only qualify for a refugee travel document once they are a protected person. So they do not qualify for one now.
A work permit doesn't allow someone to return to Canada. They should avoid leaving Canada at this time.
