LANDED..........

We have my husband's visa but now I have a few questions. We are planning on flying to Calgary but most of the flights land in Toronto first.
Will we go through immigration process there?
And if yes, how much layover time do we need?
Never thought about that until I was booking the flight and then realized we may have a problem if we only have 1 hour between flights and we have to be cleared there and not Calgary.

Yes - the landing will take place in Toronto. The landing itself doesn't take very long. However if the airport is busy, you may have to wait for your turn.

I think 1 hour is cutting it very close and there's a chance you'll miss your connecting flight. You would be far better off with a 2 hour connection. Can you modify the booking? If you miss your original connection, will the airline put you on the next flight from Toronto to Calgary?

There is a flight that has a 3 hour wait which would be much better. Thanks. I would rather land in Toronto.
