Travel to India few months before visa expires, will I have problem coming back?

Hello people,

I am studying in Canada on a study permit. I have valid visa as well. But both expire on August 30th. I am travelling to India on April 26 and returning to Canada by May 26. My port of entry is Vancouver while coming back. Will I face problems while returning back?

Also, if yes, then will applying for study permit extension before going help?

You won't lose anything if you apply for extension before your leave.
