Travel out of Country with month and a half left for WP expiry

I'm currently on SOWP which is valid till June first week. Is it safe to travel out of country for the month of May and arrive back on June 1st, will i be allowed to enter back in the country, My WP extension is currently applied for status

As long as you have a valid TRV, yes.
