guys, just some questions about travel history after ITA

My origin country is China, then I studied in US for a while before I move to Canada with a work permit.
the question is, shall I list all the travel history except China and Canada, or Shall I exclude US travel history as well?(US used to be my residency country cuz I held a F1 visa)

thanks!

If your stay was longer than 6 months, you must submit Police clearance certificates from each country and must show your travel history.

Travel history should ideally be in sync with all date stamp reflecting in your passport during your visits. All the countries you visited other than the country of your origin.

in the travel history section it states:
Has xx, and if applicable,xx's family members taken any trips outside their country of origin or of residence in the last ten years (or since their 18th birthday if this was less than ten years ago). Include all trips: tourism, business, training, etc

Doesn't this imply that I shall exclude travelling between China and Canada? Since Canada is my current residency country.
Thanks

Changing country of residence does not go into travel history. It goes into your address history. When you were moving from China to the US and back, as well as moving to Canada, this does not go into travel history.
So basically travel between China and Canada can be excluded for sure. And travel between China and US during my F1 visa period can be excluded as well?
I already put all my US travel/moving history into the travel history section. It's awfully long since I fly back and forth for more than 8 times.

Another question is that shall I put my wife's and my parents' travel history in this form?
It asks applicant and applicant's family member.
I am a bit confused here.
do I have to list all her travel as I did for mine even she wasn't travelling with me?

Cheers

You do not need to include travel between China and the US, because that was your country of residence at the time. Just make sure you include your US address in the address history section.

Definitely not your parents' travel history. I'm not sure where your wife's travel history goes - I would have thought there's a separate form for it, but maybe not. I'm a single applicant, so I'm not sure. But you definitely have to include all your wife's travels, not only the occasions where she travelled with you.
so the “family member”here means spouse and any dependent child?
I am always confused by CIC's family definition.

Hi Andrew,

Have a similar situation.
My country of residences have been like following:

1991 to 2015: Pakistan
2015 to 2016: UAE
2016 to date: Hungary

In my travel history, how can I put when I moved from Pakistan to UAE and then UAE to Hungary?
Because these travels dont have a return date as I moved for work and study.

Would you please confirm me if its okay to omit these travels from the travel history based on your experience?

Thanks

I am slightly in a similar situation. My country of origin is India but I studied, worked and lived around 6 years in US before returning back to India a few months back. All International trips I have are 2 one way trips while moving residences to US and back to India and 4 round trips from US to India for vacation when I was in US. What should I mention in my travel history?
What did you end up submitting in your "travel history" in the application?

Hi Friends,
I was working in US at different places (at different states). Also I was unemployed for some time (i.e. in between 2 jobs); but didn't leave US during that time. I have mentioned all the details in address history section correctly but have a question about Travel History. Travel History has only 1 field City; so should I mention only 1 entry for US as I have traveled only once or I have to mention separate entries for each city?

Hey maplov,

What i have been recommended by someone is to go ahead with the following:

USA: date you moved to date when you shifted to india again. The whole period.
And then mention short visits and holidays separately.
Im planning on doing the same.

Hope it helps

What I did was simply put all flight travel in sequence e.g.
1. From: India to US one way
To: US to India while on first visit
2. From: Returning back to US from visit
To: US to India while on second visit
Etc.

But your idea seems better and more logical. Thank you!
